O’Neill Consulting Group’s appointment of Dougherty as Managing Director within its Industrial, Aerospace, and Defense practices boosts the firm’s continued growth and marks its foothold as a key player in these industries

Washington, DC. (February 17, 2015) –O’Neill Consulting Group, a retained executive search firm and talent consultancy, announced today that Thomas H. Dougherty has joined the firm as Managing Director. Based out of Washington, D.C., Dougherty will assist in the expansion of the firm’s Industrial, Aerospace, and Defense practices and help execute the firm’s newly reinforced client-centered business model.

An operational business leader by experience, Dougherty is equipped with over 25 years of deep functional expertise in P&L leadership, strategy, distribution, aftermarket, and business development with world-class companies on a global scale.

Before joining O’Neill, Dougherty served five years as Vice President, Operational Strategy for Nortek, Inc., helping lead this $2.3 billion global diversified industrial company through a major operational transformation. Previously, he held senior P&L leadership roles at Raytheon, Lennox, and United Technologies. Dougherty has extensive international experience having lived abroad for twelve years, residing in six countries including Singapore, Brunei, Australia, Germany, Canada and Belgium.

Dougherty holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Financial Management from The Catholic University of America and a Master of Business Administration from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
