Consultant

Building exceptional client relationships, leading high-performing teams, and solving the world’s toughest talent challenges. These areas (and more) are what our consultants excel at on a daily basis.

Partner

Our partners are senior leaders and ambassadors who live our firm’s values. They are recognized as thought leaders in the areas in which they work and produce extraordinary results that enhance the value, relevance, and reputation of our firm and our clients’ organizations.

Your leadership inspires high-performance and develops team members at all levels. You also maintain strong client relationships with leaders at the world’s top-tier organizations, gaining access to and winning premier projects.

Successful performance in this role results from substantial personal investment in our firm and evolves to greater leadership responsibilities, including the opportunity to become a practice leader.

Partners usually bring over 10 years of executive search experience, or at least 15 years of industry or functional expertise.

Principal

As a principal, you bring specialized knowledge and drive exceptional execution across all phases of a client engagement.

Successful performance as a principal launches your transition into business development and client management responsibilities. If, however, you are an accomplished and highly regarded consultant, but do not desire business development responsibilities, we offer equally valued responsibility for you to lead project execution.

Most principals are promoted from the senior associate role or learned the fundamentals of executive search or leadership consulting following 7 to 10 years of experience in an industry or function consistent with our practice areas.

Researcher

Our researchers play an active role on our delivery teams, gathering and analyzing information, presenting solutions to consultants, and engaging with candidates. As you advance your skills, opportunities for end-to-end project execution will come your way.

Senior Associate

Senior associates collaborate closely with our consultants to deliver outstanding results. This means you will be responsible for search strategies, market mapping, and candidate identification and assessment. At this level, you will start to develop expertise in a specific industry or function along with the intricacies of managing client relationships.

This role is an excellent fit for individuals with 5 to 7 years’ experience in the executive search industry or a combination of search and industry experience consistent with O’Neill Consulting’s practice areas.

Associate

As an associate, you are actively involved in projects, lending support to our consultants and more senior researchers. Your will focus on developing highly qualified and diverse candidate slates that exceed our clients’ expectations. This means sourcing candidates in the market, conducting outreach calls, and utilizing assessment skills.

This role typically requires 3 to 5 years of executive search experience. Most associates are broad in their focus at first then, as they build experience, specialize in an industry or functional area aligned with their passion and the firm’s needs.

Analyst

As an analyst, you will work with our project teams to collect and analyze market intelligence while learning daily from our talented consultants.

This is a frequent entry point into our consulting track. This role is well-suited for college graduates who are curious and self-directed, or early career professionals looking to transition into a highly relational, interactive professional services environment.

Once you have refined your analyst skills, the next step on your path could be advancing into an associate role with greater responsibility for candidate engagement and execution.

Project Management

Our project managers are experts at coordinating engagements day-to-day, collaborating with a wide array of stakeholders, and keeping commitments top of mind.

In this role, you will manage high-stakes communications, produce reports, and solve complex scheduling challenges. If you are organized, comfortable with detail, and capable of coordinating among a diverse group of team members, project management could be a perfect fit for you.

As you advance, you will evolve into more senior roles in project management or research. The roles in this group build from project coordinator to senior project coordinator to project manager to senior project manager. At every level, being able to manage time and teams, think critically, and communicate effectively are requisites for success.

Shared Services

Our strategic investment in our Shared Services team powers our firm’s growth globally. Our delivery teams have the leverage and support of highly specialized functions and professionals. These teams span finance, marketing and strategy, talent, and technology.

Finance

Our Finance team partners with executives inside and outside the firm to identify, analyze, and monitor our financial health. Financial planning includes budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, corporate strategy, risk management, payroll, and benefits.

Marketing & Strategy

Strategy and insights, creative and content, events and media, and performance analytics. Our Marketing & Strategy team collaborates with diverse areas of the firm to drive greater growth.

Talent

Talent acquisition, talent development, and employee experience. Our Talent team cares deeply about finding the right people and unleashing their potential once they’re here, personally and professionally.

Technology

Technology & Data Services teams maintain the highest levels of data quality and implement technology solutions that help us deliver stellar results for clients.
